Ocoee: Missing Woman

Date: June 16, 2009

Kissimmee Police Detectives are looking for suspects involved in a robbery by sudden snatching that occurred this morning at the Wal-Mart located at 4444 West Vine Street in Kissimmee. The victim, 88-year-old Violet Hanauer, was pushing her shopping cart through the parking lot when she was approached from behind by a black female. The suspect was seen grabbing the purse out from the cart at the same time that Ms. Hanauer was trying to regain control of her purse. The elderly victim fell to the ground as she attempted to chase the suspect. The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 5’2”, petite build and is believed to be in her early 20’s. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with a floral skirt. The suspect fled in a vehicle which was identified as a burgundy/maroon colored Chevrolet Malibu. The first three characters of the license plate are “L19”. Detectives believe the vehicle was occupied by two other unknown black females.

 

Palm Bay: Church Vandalism

Date: June 14, 2009

At approximately 7:45 A.M. Sunday the church deacon arrived at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, located at 300 Malabar Rd. to prepare for Sunday morning activities. The deacon noticed the main activity building was defaced with anti-Semitic symbols, phrases and other drawings. It is believed the criminal mischief occurred sometime between 9:30 pm Saturday
and 7:00 a.m. Sunday. The suspects also turned off the main power breakers to the activity building but did not cause any electrical damage.

 

Brevard: Viera Walgreens Robbery

Date: June 11, 2009

On Thursday, June 11, 2009, at approximately 4:54pm, a black male entered the Walgreen’s Pharmacy located at 5475 Murrell Road in Viera. Once inside, the male approached the clerk at the cash register and ordered her at gunpoint to open the cash register.   The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled on foot east from the store. The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early twenties, approximately 5’09” and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing black shorts, a black shirt, black ball cap and had a black bandana with skulls imprinted wrapped around his face. He was armed with what appears to be a black semi-automatic handgun.

Ocoee: Missing Woman

Missing: Tracy Ocasio

Ocoee police want to find a woman who hasn't been seen for days. Police say 27-year-old Tracy Ocasio was last seen Wednesday (05/27/09) night leaving the Taproom on Raleigh Street after the Orlando Magic game. However, Ocasio never made it home. Her car was found abandoned on Franklin Street in Ocoee.She was last seen wearing dark hoodie, black tank top, jeans and baseball hat.


 

St.Cloud: Walgreens Robbery

Date: May 27, 2009

At approximately 3:37 p.m., the St. Cloud Police Department received a report of an Armed Robbery of the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 4905 East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in St. Cloud.  The suspect handed the Pharmacist a note indicating he had a gun and demanding Oxycontin, Hydromorphine, and Methadone. After receiving the medication the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.  The suspect is described as a white male approximately 20-25 years of age, 5’10” to 6’01” tall, 160-170 pounds,  with brown hair, brown eyes, and “tribal” tattoos on his arms.  The suspect was wearing a black hat with a Fox Racing logo, black pants, and white shoes.

 

Cocoa Beach: Bank Robbery

Date: May 27, 2009

At approximately 9:49am, the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money.  The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of currency at which time the suspect fled the bank in an older model, blue vehicle, possibly a Honda heading northbound on N. Atlantic Avenue.  The suspect is described as a white male, early 30’s to 40 years of age, 5’10 to 6’00”, 190 to 215 pounds, with dark hair and a small goatee, wearing a dark blue long sleeved shirt with white stripes, blue jean shorts, and a white, mesh ball cap with a New England Patriots logo and black and white tennis shoes.

 

Orlando: Ivey Lane Homicide

Date: May 27, 2009

At approximately 12:00 am OPD patrol officers were dispatched to 701 S Ivey Lane, Lake Mann Apartments reference a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found the victim, a 32 year old male, deceased inside a vehicle. The incident appears to be an attempted robbery.

Orlando: Attempted Abduction

Date: May 21, 2009

On 5/21/2009 at approximately 2:35pm an unknown Hispanic male with black spiky hair, in his mid forties, wearing a white shirt with a collar, blue jeans and white sneakers, approached the victim in a late model black four-door Mazda, unknown model, with an unknown tag, which had black tinted windows and a tan leather interior. The subject directed the victim to get in the car with him.

 

Orange: Armed Home Invasion

Date: May 20, 2009

On May 20, 2009 at approximately 10:00pm, the pictured suspect approached the victims’ residence via the garage and he was armed with a handgun.  The suspect forced the victim into the residence, demanded money and searched the residence before exiting with the stolen property.  The suspect fled in an unknown direction. 

 

Suspect Description: A Black Male approximately 20-25 YOA, slim build, 180 lbs, 6’00 to 6’02 last seen wearing all black.

 

Orange: El Mambo Armed Robbery

Date: May 18 , 2009

On May 18th at 8:54am, the victim was robbed by two black males, one armed with a black semi-auto handgun, as he was opening the business at 5567 S. Orange Blossom Trail.  Both black males were seen entering a white four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows, being driven by another black male.

Orange: Attempted Abduction

Date: May 14, 2009

At approximately 4:30 am, 5/14/09 Orange County Sheriff's Office patrol units responded to an attempted kidnapping.. Investigators say a man broke into the house and attempted to abduct a four year old girl who was sleeping in her bed. The girls’ screams awoke her parents who immediately responded. The suspect fled on foot.

 

Orlando: Lake Mann Homicide

Date: May 12, 2009

At approximately 7:40pm on May 12th, patrol was dispatched to shots fired in the 3600 Block of North Lake Mann. Officers arrived to find that the victim, Frederick R. Davis B/M 4/15/72 (at left), had been shot while inside his vehicle at that location. Members of the Orlando Fire Department, who heard the shots, responded and pronounced Davis dead at the scene. Witnesses advised that a possible suspect vehicle, that was seen fleeing the area, was described as a gold or tan SUV.
 

Orange: GameStop Robbery

Date: May 2, 2009

On May 2, 2009 at approximately 6:52pm a suspect entered the Game Stop located at 2781 North Hiawassee Road, Orlando and robbed the business with a handgun.  The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 40-50 yoa, 6’01” and weighs 250-300 lbs.  Suspect was last seen wearing a green hat, blue jean pants, blue jacket and a green baseball hat.

 

Orange: Circle K Robbery

Date:  April 22, 2009

On 4/22/09 the white male suspect pictured at left in the White and Grey striped polo shirt, entered the Circle K located at 7000 East Colonial Drive, walked to one of the isles and selected a pack of gum to purchase. The suspect then approached the counter and attempted to purchase the item with change. As the clerk was completing the sale, the suspect reached over and began to remove cash from the register. 

Suspect Description: White Male in his early 30’s approximately 5’08”-5’10” weighing 180 lbs.
 

Orange: Armed Mini-Van Robbery

Date:  April 18, 2009

On April 18th, 2009 at approximately 3:02 am, an unknown dark skinned Hispanic male was burglarizing a vehicle at 720 London Drive.  During the burglary, the suspect was confronted by the vehicle’s owner and boyfriend, at which time the suspect presented a handgun and then committed a robbery.  The suspect was last seen fleeing in what appeared to be a silver or gray older model Honda Odyssey van.  In addition, there is reason to believe the suspect may have committed a Home Invasion in Winter Park.

 

Osceola: Starbucks Robbery

Date:  April 17, 2009

On April 17 at approximately 10:10 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to Starbucks located at 6075 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'3”, 190 lbs., medium build wearing a black hat, black stocking over his face, black short sleeve shirt, black gloves and black pants. He was carrying a small silver colored handgun. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'9”, 165 lbs., thin build wearing a large oversized black long sleeve shirt, black pants, black stocking covering his face and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a small silver colored revolver.

 

Altamonte Springs: Advance America Robbery

Date:  April 2, 2009

On 04-02-09, an Armed Robbery occurred at Advance America, located at 280 S. S.R. 434. Witnesses identified a maroon 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix  as the vehicle suspects fled in. The Hispanic male suspect was described as being approximately 20 YOA, 5’04” and 120 lbs. The Hispanic male suspect also had a long goatee and short dark hair. The Hispanic male suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts and white sneakers. The Black male suspect waiting at the front door was described as being approximately 20 YOA, 5’04”, 160 lbs, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, a white knit hat and big black sunglasses. The black male suspect possibly had dread locks or braids.

 

Melbourne: Hess Station Robbery

Date:  April 17, 2009

Melbourne Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the Hess Station, located at 700 West New Haven Ave. At approximately 1:14 p.m. Melbourne Police responded to an armed robbery at the Hess Station. According to the clerk, a white female approached the counter and displayed a handgun while demanding money from the register. The female took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a short, heavyset white female, approximately 35-45 yoa, 5’2”-5’4”, with long, dark curly hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, unknown colored pants and carrying a blue jean jacket.

Altamonte Springs: Kidnapping Victim Dies

Date:  August 31, 2004

On August 31, 2004 Susan Perkins (pictured at left) and a friend, Robin Barber, were working inside a business, at 626 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Fl 32701, after normal working hours.  A masked male, armed with a gun, entered through the front door.  The suspect robbed Perkins and Barber of their money.  After taking their money he ordered both victims into Susan Perkins’ red Ford Focus so they could drive him to an ATM machine to get more money.  They all entered the victim’s vehicle and drove to the Washington Mutual located at 500 E. Altamonte Drive and removed an undisclosed amount of money from the ATM.Money was withdrawn from the ATM and both victims were then ordered into the trunk of the vehicle.  The first victim, Robin Barber, jumped from the vehicle and escaped. Susan Perkins attempted the same and sustained a fatal head injury when she landed on the roadway. The suspect made no attempt to stop. Suspect was described as a B/M 5’10” to 6’0”, 180lbs, dark ski mask, dark long sleeved shirt, and dark work pants.  Subject was armed with a gun.

 

West Melbourne: KFC Armed Robbery

Date:  April 4, 2009

West Melbourne Police are looking for a man who committed an armed robbery at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant located at 2021 West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne this afternoon. At approximately 12:30 p.m. the suspect entered the restaurant and went directly behind the counter, drew a silver revolver style pistol, pointed it at the cashier and demanded him to open the register and step aside. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out the east door heading north on Bry Lynn. A Melbourne Police K9 tracked the suspect to some tire marks on Woodland Street. Suspect description:  White male, approx. 5’9”, 135 lbs., late teens to early twenties, wearing a white T-shirt, tan colored pants, possibly a blue ball-style cap, and dark sunglasses. He was clean shaven.

 

Osceola: 7-Eleven Robbery

Date:  April 4, 2009

At approximately 3:50 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to 7-Eleven at 2300 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with store employees who indicated a white male entered the store and demanded money from the cash register and safe. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'10” with a thin build wearing baggy blue jeans and a vertical striped peach, orange and red shirt. He had a white shirt over his face and sunglasses and a hat.

 

Kissimmee: Kangaroo Armed Robbery

Date: April 2, 2009

On April 2, 2009 at approximately 12:30 a.m. a black male entered the Kangaroo Stop located at 1700 North Thacker Avenue in Kissimmee.  He was armed with a gun and began to demand money from the clerk.  A couple of minutes later, a second black male entered the store and grabs the register.  The suspects are last seen fleeing the scene on foot.  The clerk was not injured during the incident.

 

Orange: Circle K Robbery

Date:  April 1, 2009

On April 1, 2009 a black male suspect entered the Circle K store located at 7530 Forest City Road, presented a semi automatic handgun and demanded the money from the register. 

The subject was wearing a long sleeve black t-shirt with a silver design logo on the front, a black ball cap and long, black shorts.  Suspect had dark skin and a thick, full beard, is approx. 5’6”, 165 lbs, in his mid 20’s.

 

Orange: Home Invasion

Date: April 6, 2009

On Friday, April 6, 2009 at approximately 4:15am, the suspect entered the residence located at 4117 Boca Woods Drive and forcefully removed the female victim from her bed.  The suspect then demanded money from the victim and forced her to several areas of the house in an effort to intimidate the victim into providing the location of money inside the residence. After tying the victim up, the male left the residence. The male is described as hispanic, 6’00”, light skinned, medium build, puffy cheeks, with curly hair.  The victim indicated the male is between 40 and 50 years of age and he was wearing brown or gold square framed eyeglasses

Orange: Cash America Pawn Robberies

Date: August, September 2008 & March 24, 2009

On 8/23/08 at 10:50AM, the Cash America Pawn at Silver Star/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by two Black Males. On 9/18/08 at 11:37AM, the Cash America Pawn at Colonial/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by one black male. In both robberies, the suspects demanded cash and jewelry, and fled the scene in stolen cars. A witness in the first robbery observed one of the suspects without his mask and provided the below sketch.  A significant amount of jewelry was stolen.(UPDATE) Same location robbed again on March 24, 2009. If you know of anyone recently trying to sell jewelry or having lots of new jewelry with no explanation, the reward for these crimes has been INCREASED to $10,000.

Both Suspects: Black Males, 5’09-6’00, 160-180.

 

Melbourne: Two Shot, One Homicide

Date: March 31, 2009

The Melbourne Police Department has identified the two victims that were shot during a fight at the corner of Monroe St. and University Blvd. Melissa McNeil dob 8/14/71 of Melbourne, was pronounced dead at Holmes Regional Hospital, and Shantrell Clayton who is in stable condition, dob 5/25/90 of Melbourne. Information was received that a fight between several females had taken place at Lipscomb Street Park, and moved to the corner of Monroe St. and University Blvd. That’s when unknown person(s) starting firing a weapon, hitting McNeil and Clayton.

Cocoa: Teen Killed, Drive-by

Date: March 27, 2009

At approximately 11:45 p.m., on Friday, March 27, 2009, unknown subjects drove past the apartments at 1301 Jackson Street, Cocoa, and fired an unknown number of rounds at the “D” building of the apartment complex. A 17 year old female was standing outside an apartment and the female was struck by one of the bullets. The female died on the scene. Investigators believe the female was not the intended target.

Kissimmee: Libery Village Burglary

Date: March 27, 2009

On March 27, 2009, Kissimmee police officers responded to 4444 Philadelphia Circle, in the Liberty Village Subdivision in Kissimmee, in reference to an occupied burglary. The officers met with two juvenile victims who stated that a Hispanic male and Hispanic female forced their way into the home via the front door. The victims hid in the closet while the male and female searched the residence looking for items to steal. The suspects located the victims in the bedroom closet, and immediately fled the residence. The victims were not injured during the incident. A few minutes later both suspects re-entered the residence and asked the victims to not call the police; they were good people. The suspects then returned the items they had just taken from the home. The victims observed the suspects driving away in a small four door white vehicle with a black vinyl top.
 

Orlando/Osceola: Donut Shop Robbery

Date: March 23, 2009

A light-skinned, possibly Hispanic male, early 20s, entered the Dunkin Donuts wearing a black mask and pointed a pistol at the cashier. The suspect demanded cash from the register at gunpoint. The suspect was thin and was approximately 5'04" to 5'09" in height. He was wearing a red and blue or black ballcap prior to entering the Dunkin Donuts. He also wore blue jeans and a red, horizontally striped shirt with a dark, long sleeved shirt underneath. Suspect fled in a dark red Honda, 2-door, possibly an Accord. **NOTE: The Honda had a front driver's side fog light that was damaged or hanging from its housing. The same suspect, with the same description of the red Honda, robbed three more businesses after this robbery - two in Orange County and one in Osceola County. The Osceola County robbery occurred at approximately 4:30 pm at a Dunkin Donuts on Osceola Parkway.
 

Brevard: Gun Stolen, Burglary

Date: March 20 , 2009

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary that occurred at 390 Coconut Drive, Indialantic, FL. on 03/20/09, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 12:00 Midnight. A firearm described as a Sig Sauer, model P225, 9mm pistol bearing serial number M635216 was stolen from the residence along with ammunition.

Orlando: Greyhound Station, Robbery

At 9:46am the pictured suspect offered the victim a ride and led him away from the bus station to the corner of John Young Pkwy and Arlington Street. The suspect was joined by another male who assisted in robbing and beating the victim of cash and personal effects. The suspects frequent the area around the Greyhound Bus station.

Eustis: Wachovia Bank Robbery

Date: March 17, 2009

On Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at approximately 9:08 A.M. the Wachovia Bank at 21 North Grove Street in Eustis was robbed. A white male in late twenties to mid-thirties entered the bank lobby approached the teller. The white male showed the teller a note demanding money. The white male showed the teller a silver hand gun in his waist band of his pants. The money was given and the white male fled the building. It is unknown if he had vehicle. The description of the suspect again is white male with short dark hair, black sunglass, dark colored facial hair, wearing black sweat suit with white stripes on the sleeves, white tee-shirt and white tennis shoes
 

Orlando: Home Invasion, Robbery

Date: March 16, 2009

Time: 10:30pm

Location: 5000 Rosamond Drive (Fountains Apartments)

White male suspect forced a female victim into her apartment and robbed her, resulting in minor injuries. Suspect was described as 40 years old, 5'8", with salt and pepper hair.

 

Palm Bay : Walgreens Robbery

Date: March 14, 2009

Major Crimes Detectives are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at a local pharmacy. At approximately 11:00 a.m. Sunday, patrol officers responded to the Walgreen’s pharmacy located at 4280 Minton Road NW where the pharmacist reported being robbed. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-twenties, 5’ 10”, thin build, in his mid 20s with reddish blond hair wearing a blue-green or teal colored hoodie, flip-flops and blue jeans. He approached the pharmacist with a note stating “this is a robbery” and demanded drugs but he did not imply or display a weapon. The pharmacist complied and the suspect fled the store in a blue or teal colored GM vehicle possibly a Pontiac or an Oldsmobile.

 

KIssimmee: Buglary, Fraud

Kissimmee Police Detectives need assistance identifying a burglary/fraud suspect.
On March 12, 2000 there were several car burglaries committed in the area of Queenswood Drive in the Lakeside Subdivision in Kissimmee. The victim at 2308 Queenswood Drive reported a wallet stolen from the vehicle. The victim’s credit card was used at several convenience stores in the area to purchase gift cards. The picture below was of a transaction that occurred at the 7-Eleven at 4015 West Vine Street in Kissimmee at approximately 6:12 a.m. The suspect purchased a gift card during the transaction.
 

Orlando: Vacation Lodge Homicide

Date: March 11, 2009

Officers responded to Vacation Lodge to find 62 year old Lawrence Stefkovich deceased. Mr. Stefkovich resided for approximately 2 years at the Vacation Lodge. He left and then recently returned to the Vacation Lodge. Details on manner and cause of death will not be released. The motive for the murder is undetermined at this time.

 

Orange: Royal Grande Homicide

Date: March 9, 2009

March 9, 2009 at approximately 8:50 a.m., Lake County sheriff’s deputies received a report of an attempted abduction of a 16-year-old male in Clermont. The victim reported to deputies that he had missed his school bus and began walking (at approximately 8:43 a.m.) along County Road 561 towards South Lake High School, where he attends school. He stated that as he made his way towards the school, he was offered a ride by a subject in a black Ford Mustang in the area of Lake Minneola. Upon declining the offer, the suspect threatened to make the victim get into the vehicle. According to the victim, the suspect then reached towards the floor of the vehicle as though he was reaching under his seat. In fear that the suspect was going to arm himself with a weapon, the victim fled into a wooded area nearby where he was able to phone his mother, who picked him up shortly thereafter. The victim also stated to deputies that near the beginning of this school year, he noticed a black mustang in the area of the school and believed that it was following him; however, that incident was never reported to law enforcement.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, with dark brown hair and a goatee. The suspect was said to be wearing an earring in his left ear and had a slender build. The vehicle was described as possibly a 2005 or 2006 model Ford Mustang, black in color, with a hard top.

 

Orange: Royal Grande Homicide

Date: March 1, 2009

During the afternoon of March, 1, 2009 victim Javiera Torres-Rivera was shot to death in the area of the Royal Grande Apartments near Americana Blvd and Texas Ave.  Victim went by nickname of “Peluca”.

 

Seminole: Attempted Abduction

Date: February 28, 2009

An eleven year-old girl was riding her bicycle on Clemson Drive when she fell off trying to make a u-turn. When the girl got up, she noticed a small white four-door vehicle stopped at the intersection of Weathersfield Avenue and Clemson Drive. The vehicle was occupied by four black males, approximately 18 years old.

As the child got back on her bicycle, the rear driver side passenger said “Come here, I have something for you” and exited the vehicle. The child immediately turned and ran in the opposite direction. The passenger then returned to the car, which was last seen traveling towards SR 436.

The child stated she had never seen the vehicle or the occupants in the neighborhood before this incident. The only description available is of the male who exited the car. He was wearing a blue shirt, black hat, pants and white shoes. A sketch artist was able to work with the child to complete the attached composite sketch.

 

Orlando: Attempted Kidnapping

Date: February 23, 2009

Approximately 5:10 pm a male child was confronted by a black male, in his early to mid-20s, driving a white truck, while walking home from school.  The man confronted the victim at the corner of Ross Place and Amelia Street.  At the time of the confrontation, the black male demanded the victim to get into the truck.  The victim immediately ran home and reported to his mother. The victim stated the truck was last seen heading east on Amelia towards Tampa Street. The victim stated he has never seen the truck or the driver before.  The truck was a large, newer, white truck, possibly a Chevrolet. 

                       &n
